Mt. Olympus Wisconsin Dells: Water Parks, Coasters and What to Know

You can't miss Mt. Olympus. The Roman Colosseum, the giant Trojan horse and the wooden coasters line the road on the way into the Dells. It's a water park and theme park resort with four parks in one: an indoor and an outdoor water park, plus an indoor and an outdoor theme park with roller coasters and go-karts.
We've driven past it on our Dells trips, which is where these photos are from, but we haven't spent a day inside yet. This guide is built from the park's own information to help you plan, and I'll add our take when we go.

You can arrive as early as 9 am on check-in day to get your passes and head into the parks before your room is ready.
Non-guests can buy a day ticket. In 2026, a Water & Theme Park ticket was $45 on the park's site and covered the indoor parks, the coasters and go-karts and the outdoor water park in season.
The coasters and go-karts

Mt. Olympus is known for its wooden roller coasters:
- Hades 360 (48"): the headliner, billed as the world's first upside-down wooden roller coaster It has a 140-foot drop.
- Zeus (48"): a 90-foot wooden coaster.
- Cyclops (48"): a 70-foot wooden coaster from 1995, the first roller coaster in the Dells.
- Pegasus (42"): a smaller family wooden coaster.
- Little Titans: a kids-only coaster for 40 to 56 inches.
There are also five go-kart tracks, including one that runs through the Trojan horse, plus two junior tracks for younger kids.

The water parks
Outdoor (summer): the big one is Rise of Icarus, which opened in 2024 and is billed as America's tallest waterslide at 145 feet (48" minimum). There's also a wave pool, a lazy river, a six-lane racer and Icaria, a kids' area with 10 slides.
Indoor (year-round): connected to Hotel Rome, with Medusa's Slidewheel (America's first SlideWheel, 42" minimum), slides, a lazy river and hot tubs.
The indoor theme park
Good for little kids and bad weather: mini golf, a climbing wall, bumper cars, teacups, kiddie rides and an arcade, all open year-round.
Staying at Mt. Olympus
The resort has everything from basic rooms to suites that sleep 10, plus two houses and a campground with cabins. Rooms vary a lot in age and location, and some are in buildings farther from the parks. Guest reviews commonly mention dated rooms, uneven cleanliness and crowds at peak times, along with praise for the parks and the convenience. If you book, check which building your room is in and how far it is from the parks.
The park included passes are a great value if your family will spend most of the trip on rides. If you'd rather have more space and a quieter place to come back to, a vacation home and day tickets can work just as well. Our two homes are a short drive away. See our homes.
Tips
- Check heights before you go. Most of the big coasters and slides need 48 inches.
- No outside food or drinks in the parks.
- Lockers, strollers and wagons are available for a fee.
- Lines may close up to an hour before the park does, so don't save the big rides for last.
- Look for specials. The park runs room deals with park tickets included, and in 2026 it offered free early-season outdoor water park tickets.
