Where to Eat in Wisconsin Dells, Plus How to Do Downtown

Shops and restaurants along Broadway in downtown Wisconsin Dells

Broadway is the Dells' main street: arcades, fudge and taffy shops, T-shirt stores, restaurants and the boat tour docks, all in a few walkable blocks. It's touristy, and that's part of the fun. This guide covers where we actually eat, in town and just outside it, and how to spend a day downtown.

Everything marked with a review link is somewhere we've eaten ourselves. Hours change by season, so check before you go.

  • Bella Goose Coffee. Scratch breakfast and lunch with gluten-free options. It's seasonal, so check that it's open.

Lunch and casual

Supper clubs

A Wisconsin supper club is an experience: old-fashioneds, relish trays, steaks and a Friday fish fry.

  • Ishnala Supper Club. Set in the pines above Mirror Lake, and the most famous one in the area. It's seasonal (the 2026 season ends October 25) and doesn't take reservations, so go early.
  • Del-Bar. A classic on the Parkway, open nightly. Reservations are recommended.

How to do a downtown day

  1. Park once. Broadway is easy to walk end to end, so find a lot and leave the car. Downtown parking is paid from April through September, by app, kiosk or meter.
  2. Book a boat tour from the docks. The Upper Dells tour leaves from 107 Broadway. See our boat tours guide.
  3. Hit the arcades and candy shops. Fudge is a Dells tradition. Original Wisconsin Dells Fudge (108 Broadway) and Wisconsin Dairyland Fudge (216 Broadway) are both right on the strip.
  4. Eat on Broadway, then walk it off on the River Walk.

The River Walk and the Tree of Light

The River Walk, just off Broadway.

The River Walk is a quarter-mile paved path along the Wisconsin River off the 100 block of Broadway. It's a quiet break from the strip and a nice after-dinner walk. From November 20, 2026 to mid-January 2027 it's home to the Tree of Light, a 55-foot maple wrapped in 65,000 lights, lit nightly from 4:30 to 11 pm. It's free.
