The Dells eats like a Wisconsin small town that happens to get millions of visitors. You'll find classic supper clubs with brandy old fashioneds and relish trays, Friday fish fry nearly everywhere, cheese curds on every bar menu, and big family restaurants built for a hungry crowd after a waterpark day.
Downtown on Broadway is the easiest place to walk between lunch, ice cream and the boat docks. The Parkway and the south end near Kalahari and Great Wolf have the big family restaurants and chains, and some of our favorite meals are a few minutes out of town, at places like Edge-O-Dells and the supper clubs near Mirror Lake.
Hours change a lot by season. Many places cut back to weekends or close for part of the winter, so check the hours on each card, or set the month at the top of the page to see who's open when you visit.
Our own favorites include Stuff's for breakfast, MarAzul and Swagat on Broadway, MACS for an easy lunch with kids, and Edge-O-Dells for dinner with live music. The full list is in our where to eat guide, and every place we've been is marked on the cards.
