Tom Foolery's Adventure Park at Kalahari: What to Expect with Kids
Visited April 2026 · Updated

When the Wisconsin Dells weather isn't cooperating, or you just want a break from the waterparks, Tom Foolery's Adventure Park at Kalahari is the obvious next move. We spent a Saturday afternoon there with our son and one of his friends, and three hours flew by. Between the go-karts, laser tag, ropes course, zipline and a ride that made us dizzy just watching, there was more than enough to keep two 10-year-olds busy.
We went in the off-season, so crowds were light and waits were short. That made a real difference. Here's what to know before you go.
Quick highlights
- 100,000 square feet of indoor attractions, fully climate-controlled, so it works rain or shine
- The all-day pass covers go-karts, laser tag, ropes courses, the zipline, rides, mini golf and more
- Arcade games need a separate game card and aren't in the pass
- Three hours was enough to hit all the big attractions at off-season pace
- Best for kids 6 and up; some rides have height requirements
- It's inside Kalahari Resort, but you don't need to be a resort guest to go
- Kalahari guests can add passes at a lower rate
Where is Tom Foolery's Adventure Park?
Tom Foolery's is part of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions at 1305 Kalahari Drive, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965, just off the Wisconsin Dells Parkway and about five minutes from Broadway. Parking is free and there's plenty of it.
You don't need to stay at Kalahari to visit. It's open to the public year-round, which makes it an easy standalone stop on any Dells trip.

What the all-day pass covers
The all-day pass is the way to go. It covers a big range of attractions and lets you do favorites more than once without counting costs. Here's what's included.
Go-karts (Legends of the G-Force One)
A two-story elevated indoor track, 430 feet long. These are proper racing-style karts, not slow bumper cars, and the elevated layout means you're banking turns above the main floor. There are single and double karts. The adults liked this one as much as the kids, and it was a clear favorite.

Toucan High Climb and Zipline
This was our son's highlight of the day. It's a multi-level ropes course with a zipline, high above the main floor in a big glass-walled space. You wear a full harness and work through rope bridges, plank walks and balance challenges before zipping across. For a 10-year-old who likes a physical challenge, it was the right amount of exciting. Closed-toe shoes are required.

The Conquerors of Mt. Foolmore ropes course
A separate multi-level ropes and climbing challenge with a different layout from the Toucan course. Good for kids who want to keep moving and test their balance while parents watch from below.
Laser tag
Multi-player laser tag in its own themed arena. We played a round of One Shot FFA (free-for-all) on the Delta Strike system. The scoreboard tracks tags, accuracy and awards, and our group had one clear winner who swept Best Player, Trigger Happy and Most Accurate. The arena had enough cover to make it strategic, not just running around.

Maximum Foolocity
A tall tower ride that lifts riders while spinning and tilting. It looks fairly tame from a distance, but the motion is more disorienting than it appears. Great for kids who love that spinning feeling.

Atomic Rush
The game with the light-up floor and wall panels. You race to hit the lit squares as fast as you can. It's competitive, surprisingly physical, and one of those games that pulls you back for round after round. A big hit with our group.

Legends of the Lost Jungle mini golf
An 18-hole black-light mini golf course with a jungle theme. The glowing course and themed obstacles make it a step up from regular mini golf, and it's a nice slower break between the active stuff.
More rides
- Kalahari Carousel: a 28-foot African-themed carousel with a gorilla, giraffe, lion, cheetah and rhino. Kids under 42 inches ride with an adult.
- Sky Rangers: pedal your way around a track hung above the park floor, with a bird's-eye view of everything.
- RevoFOOLtion: a spinning ride that goes up, down and side to side, a good first thrill ride for younger kids.
- Ferris wheel: six stories tall, inside a big glass enclosure.
- Lil' Toucan Treehouse: an indoor play structure for younger kids, with small ropes and climbing elements. Closed-toe shoes required.
- XD Dark Ride: an interactive 4D ride where you shoot at targets on screen. A good seated break.
- Meteorace: another thrill ride in the core lineup.
What costs extra
A few things aren't in the all-day pass:
- Arcade games: hundreds of games on a separate game card. Budget extra if your kids love the arcade.
- Volcano Bowling: 24 lanes upstairs in Volcano Lounge & Lanes.
- Battle Axes axe throwing: on the Upper Deck, separate admission.
- Cave of Mirrors: a mirror maze with its own ticket.
- Golf simulators: extra cost.
- Laser Frenzy: a laser obstacle course, separate from laser tag.
The arcade is worth planning for. The games are fun and the Trophy Room prize counter is a big draw for kids. Load a game card up front so you aren't paying game by game.

How long do you need?
We spent about three hours and did everything we wanted. With light off-season crowds, that covered the go-karts, laser tag, the zipline, a ropes course, Atomic Rush and a few others without rushing.
In summer, with bigger crowds and longer waits, a full day is realistic and the all-day pass makes even more sense. Kalahari guests get access for their whole stay, which is great value over several nights.
With kids under 6, you'll be more limited by height and age rules on several rides, but the carousel, treehouse and Ferris wheel are all open to them.
Prices
Walk-up all-day pass prices when we went in April 2026:
- 42 inches and up: $39.99 per person
- Under 42 inches: $16.99 per person
Kalahari guests could add passes to their reservation ahead of time for $29.99 per person, good for their whole stay, or pick them up at the Infoolmation Booth inside the park.
Prices change and discounts come up often, so check the Tom Foolery's pricing page before you go.
Food
Food and drinks are upstairs at Volcano Lounge & Lanes, which is also the bowling alley, with kid-friendly meals and casual bites. We didn't eat there, so I can't speak to the food, but it's handy if you don't want to leave the park.
If your family manages food allergies, call ahead or ask staff what's available. We'll update this section after a future visit.

Our verdict
Tom Foolery's earns its spot as one of the best things to do in Wisconsin Dells with kids. Go-karts, a zipline course, laser tag, ropes courses and a solid set of rides on one all-day pass is hard to beat. Three hours on a quiet off-season afternoon was enough to feel like we did it all, and the kids left happy.
It works as a half-day on its own or alongside a Kalahari waterpark stay. Either way, it's worth the pass.
